Frequently Asked Questions

1.Q: What are the benefits of being a member of IG Travel Squad?
A: As a member of IG Travel Squad, you will have access to member only, group travel organized and
planned by experienced travel agents and a group travel leader, a safe environment to try new
experiences, the opportunity to travel with like-minded introverted women, and the comfort of knowing that
an IG Travel Squad leader will personally host each trip.

2. Q: What kinds of trips are planned for IG Travel Squad?
A: This group focuses on domestic and international travel. Each trip will vary. Some of our trips are fully
escorted through 3rd party tour companies and some trips are planned and booked independently by
us. Please review details of the trip to find out which applies to that particular trip.

3. Q. I want to go on a trip! What should I do?
A: 1) Find a trip you are interested in and READ all the details in the trip’s description. 2) READ the
Refund Policy again! 3) Register for the trip! GET EXCITED and begin to look for your flight! 4) Follow the
payment instructions and SUBMIT YOUR DEPOSIT! Remember you are not confirmed until we receive
your payment. 5) Attend the pre-travel online meeting! A pre-travel meeting will be scheduled for the trip
to discuss pertinent information such as suggested itineraries, roommates, activities, visa requirements,
etc. 6) Have an experience of a lifetime and enjoy your trip!!!

4. Q: Do the trips include travel insurance?
A: No. Trip insurance is not provided by the IG Travel Squad or arranged by the group’s organizers.
Travel insurance is recommended for all travelers. While we do not endorse a specific travel company,
travelers can locate, choose, and purchase travel insurance that meets their needs via websites such as
Squaremouth, TripIt, and Allianz.

5. Q: Does registering for a trip confirm my spot and attendance on the trip?
A: No. Only your registration along with the deposit payment confirms your spot on a trip with the group.
Once you have submitted your registration and deposit, you will receive confirmation of your spot on the trip. 

6. Q: When should I purchase airfare?
A: You should only purchase your airfare after receiving the “TRIP CONFIRMATION” email. You may
want to set up trip notifications via different websites or apps, but be aware the prices on airfares tend to
rise as the departure date nears.

7. Q: I do not have a roommate, is this a problem?
A: No! Good News! This group was created for single travelers, giving everyone the ability to travel even if
they don’t have anyone in their immediate circle to travel with. We arrange and communicate roommate
assignments prior to the trip’s departure date. Note: 90% of the group’s trips are based on double
occupancy. Single occupancy is rarely available and if so, is at a significant premium.

8. Q: Do the group’s organizers provide assistance in obtaining travel documentation, such as
visa, passports, etc.?
A: Unfortunately, no. However, we do inform you if a visa or passport is necessary for the trip. You can find information
on how to obtain visas, passports, and other required travel documents on the U.S. Department of State website located here: https://www.state.gov.

9. Q: Are there any rules or requirements to maintain membership in the group?
A: Yes, but they are not hard to follow! IG Travel Squad has a Facebook page dedicated to
communicating information regarding upcoming trips and providing a space for those travelers to
communicate regarding scheduled trips. This is not a general Facebook page. Members found planning
side-trips, soliciting, or initiating communication beyond the scope of IG Travel will be removed from the
Facebook page and the IG Travel Squad.

Members who do not notify IG Travel Squad in writing at travel@introvertedgirlfriends.com of a
cancellation prior to the final payment deadline or drop date (whichever is earlier) will be permanently
removed from the travel group. Most trips are based on contracts with third party vendors and last minute
changes result in significant liabilities as well as harm to the professional relationships of IG Travel Squad
and Introverted Girlfriends. If your plans change, notify IG Travel Squad immediately to be removed from
the trip.

Additionally, member’s that attempt to defraud the group or other travelers (i.e., not closing bar/restaurant
tabs, not paying for hotel incidentals, charging items to other travelers rooms, etc.) will be removed from
the group immediately – even if the group is still overseas! This behavior is disrespectful, could cause
legal issues while aboard, and will not be tolerated.

Lastly, members of IG Travel Squad are expected to remain in “good standing” with Introverted
Girlfriends. Members who are suspended or removed from Introverted Girlfriends Facebook group or
Meetup will become ineligible for membership in IG Travel Squad.

10. Q: Can the travel group organizers plan a trip just for me and my friends and/or family?
A: Unfortunately, no. Organizers will only plan and post trips that are open to all members of Introverted Girlfriends.

11. Q: I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I submit deposits and payment via cash, check, or
another method of payment?
A:Unfortunately, no. Payments are ONLY accepted via PayPal.

12. Q: What is the refund policy?
A: Full Refunds: Full refunds will only be provided if the organizer (IG Travel Squad) cancels the trip. If
the organizer cancels a trip, all deposits and monies paid for the trip will be refunded to the traveler.

Partial Refunds: Generally, deposits are non-refundable. The only time deposits will be refunded is when
the organizer (IG Travel Squad) cancels the trip. In no other situation will deposits be refunded. If after
submitting your deposit, a traveler decides do cancel their trip, they will not receive a refund of the
deposit. Refunds beyond the non-refundable deposit vary by trip. PAID DEPOSITS CANNOT BE APPLIED TO ANOTHER TRIP.

Final Payment: It is the responsibility of the traveler to submit the final payment prior to the passing of the
specified trip deadline. If the final payment date passes and a traveler has not submitted payment, they
forfeit their right to travel and may be removed from the trip. IG Travel Squad reserves the right to not
accept late payments.

13. Q: Can I receive a full refund if I or a close family member/friend has experienced a medical emergency or has passed
away and I am no longer able to travel on the trip? 
A: Unfortunately, no. While we offer condolences, and empathize with you for your unfortunate
circumstances, in most cases a full refund will not be issued. Refund policy varies by trip, please read the
refund policy prior to registering. Travelers should purchase travel insurance in case of unforeseen
circumstances.

14. Q: I missed one of my flights and I will arrive days after the trip begins, can I have a refund for
the days or tours I missed?
A: Unfortunately, no. Prices and payment deadlines are based on contracts and reservations with hotels and other
vendors. These payments are typically non-refundable. 

15. Q: Why is the deposit non-refundable?
A: Vendors (hotels, transportation, restaurants, local guides, etc.) require upfront commitments that
we must adhere to. When we offer a package to you we have to ensure, through good-faith payments,
that you will utilize the vendor. This is the only way our vendors will take us seriously, helping us to
provide the best experiences possible to IG Travel Squad travelers.
